About Us
In English language, Kid means child and LOL means Laughing Out Loud. The word KIDLOL is an amalgamation of these two words. It seeks to suggest laughing out loud noises by kids. KIDLOL rhymes with the Gujarati word Killol which also means cheerful noises made by children while playing.
KIDLOL caters to teaching of Gujarati language to young children with quality books.
KIDLOL books use freshly developed visuals and examples keeping in mind the current topics relating to children’s lives. Children can therefore relate these visuals to the words easily. These words are commonly used by the child in daily life while communicating with parents and family.
Vision
There is a dearth of original and illustrated educational material in Gujarati language for kids who are raised out of India. KIDLOL seeks to bridge this gap.
The generation gap due to language barrier is broken if children are able to communicate with grandparents in Gujarati. If the household family language remains Gujarati, NRI kids can easily read and understand the signboards, billboards and outdoor display screens in Gujarati when they visit Gujarat. The child does not feel alienated because of the language barrier. NRI children when they visit here – they feel at home if they are able to read and understand the language.
Mission
KIDLOL’s mission is to produce illustrated books for young children and thereby help reduce kids’ screen time. It seeks to be a beautiful alternative for children who are used to playing games on screen. Learning of Gujarati language and quoting anecdotes from the stories becomes easy for the child.
